ZEN-International in Canada
Recently, a number of solar thermal systems have been installed in Canada, making use of ZEN® Renewables materials, provided by ZEN-International.

The ZEN® Renewables chemical free drain back system is indeed very well suited to the Canadian climate. This ZEN® drain back technology, together with the materials used for the components and build quality, make for very robust, high performance, durable and maintenance free systems.
In some systems however, only the collectors and perhaps a drain back vessel are of ZEN® origin, other components like tanks, controllers, pumps,...are not, and neither have they been selected or approved by the ZEN® engineering services.
Moreover, it appears that the piping layout, materials used, cross sections and way of installing are often contrary to ZEN® specifications and instructions, as explained in the manuals. So these installations can really not be called ZEN® systems.
Unfortunately some of these systems show technical problems as a result of the way the systems have been engineered and constructed against the ZEN® system design specifications. It will be clear that ZEN-International cannot take responsibility for the well functioning of these systems or give a warranty on the ZEN® components used in these installations which have been installed against ZEN's instructions.
When a system is installed using ZEN® components and parts approved by ZEN® and assembled in accordance with ZEN specifications, ZEN-International will of course hold to the warranties on ZEN components.
